We are ordinary people (young, old and everything in between) looking to create meaning and hope for the living of our lives. We believe people seek a church community to find an everlasting word of hope when our world is thrown into utter chaos. We believe that the creation story found in Genesis can offer hope that out of chaos order can come. We believe that the creation narrative is still being written through you! Your life story and our life story is a chapter in the epic narrative “For God So Loves Us”. The question then becomes what do we want our narrative to say?
Maybe we are feeling like, we are writing the wrong story for our lives and we want to begin a new chapter. Is that possible? How? People come to Three Rivers First United Methodist Church to continue to write their story within the context of God’s love for ALL PEOPLE (there are no exceptions). They come seeking to begin to write a new or different story. We are people of all shapes, sizes and colors, invitational and welcoming all people to come and write their chapter alongside us. In this grand adventure, we seek to know the unmitigated word of God made flesh in and through Jesus Christ to help us sprinkle God’s love and grace throughout our stories. We seek also to sprinkle God’s love into the story of others.
We seek to collectively partner with community members and organizations to continue to sprinkle God’s love and grace in Three Rivers Community and beyond.
