The Church Facebook has no been able to get logged into recently. It has been compromised. We are working on resolving that problem as soon as possible. We are truly sorry we haven’t been able to keep up on the updates for birthdays, anniversaries, and daily devotionals. Our apologies.
In mid-July our church elevator suddenly stopped operating. It was later determined that our electronic door-lock system and our ADP building security system were disabled at the same time. Initial exploration leads us to believe it may have been a power surge created by damage to the line of the power company. A new elevator motor has been ordered. Once it is received by the contractor it will be sent out for fine tuning and preparation for installation. The contractor will schedule an installation date once they know when the motor will be ready. That date is currently uncertain. We realize that a significant portion of our congregation benefits from using the elevator and that if it is not functioning those friends will be unable to reach the sanctuary. Obviously, we wish to have them in attendance as we carry out our worship services. In order to accommodate each member of our congregation the Sunday worship services will be held in the Fellowship Hall until the elevator has been repaired. We appreciate your understanding and patience. We are also delighted that this arrangement allows us all to worship together. See you Sunday!
The evaluator is temporarily out of service. The motor has been blown and Schindler will be coming very soon to fix it but has advised in the next 4 years we are more than likely needing to get an entire new elevator. This will cost us at least $90,000. Along with that our ADT system and new door locking system are down. We believe there was a power surge that took the systems out at the same time. All are in the same area. Indiana Michigan Power is doing an investigation to see if it could have been avoided. This takes time. Please be patient. This is the SOONEST the companies are able to get on it. No fault of the trustees.
