Pastor Martin Cobb
Reverend
We would like to introduce to you our NEW Pastor Martin Cobb! Hello Friends. I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Marty Cobb and I am so blessed to be the new pastor of Three Rivers First UMC. I am happy to be able to do ministry with you, and want you to be able to reach me. Phone/Text 231-215-3596 Email: pastorcobb@gmail.com. I can’t wait to talk with you. Let me tell you a little about myself. This is my 27th year of serving as a United Methodist Pastor, and I am blessed to be able to do that. I love worship and music and can’t wait to worship with you. I feel an amazing call and responsibility to effective and fun preaching that is fueled by time spent with God. Prayer, devotions and study all help me to know Christ, and allow me to serve. I am a 1996 graduate of Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan. I also graduated from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio in 2001 and have been serving in the West Michigan and Michigan Conference of the UMC ever since. I have a wonderful family that is never boring. My wife Jessica and I have been married almost 19years. We have one adult daughter Sydney, and three sons; Zachary is a young adult. Timothy who is 17, and Colton who is 12. All three of our sons are high functioning autistic, and I am so thankful for their world-class Mother who functions as our autism specialist. We also have two fun and very different dogs. Sadie is an 8lb mix, and Marshall is our young Great Dane. I am a very committed husband and father and see those as covenant relationships. I love to play with the boys, and Mondays are our family day. I love cooking, and that is one of my primary ways to have fun and relax. I love to learn and practice cooking techniques and share that passion with our son Timothy. I am also a retro game nerd. I have a nice collection of older video games like Atari and Nintendo. I have also gathered a good-sized collection of Pez dispensers and have collected them for 25 years. I have fun giving the candy and dispensers to children that I bump into while doing ministry. What little things bring you a smile in life? I would love to meet you, and there are a few times you can count on me to be at church. Sundays after worship we can have coffee and hang out in the fellowship hall. On Tuesdays I will be at the church office from 10:30am until at least 1:30pm. I invite you to join me on Wednesdays for prayer in the fellowship hall at 11am. I will also be at as many evening meetings and events as possible. Also, you can just give me a call and we can set up a time to get together.
Grace and Peace,
Marty
